Patti & Paula will travel to Exeter N.H. on 2/7/14 to see how the CORE Physicians Group is using Nextgen. We will be meeting with Dr Kristen Johnson who is also a pediatrician. She is a physician leader on their Nextgen team. We hope she will have tips on how they improved workflow. We plan to share what we have been doing here.We will also be able to see their patient portal.

How was it?
ReplyDeleteIt was great. Got to meet Patti's brother and sister in law. They are both terrific. (no surprise) We also met with Dr. Kristen Johnson, one of the Core pediatricians. We learned a lot from them and shared what we are doing here. They are using Patient Portal and love it!
ReplyDeleteWe had a great visit and spent some time talking with Dr. Johnson as well as the office administrator and the clinical supervisor. Although they are part of a large multi-specialty group, their pediatric group is very comparable to ours - 12 physicians and 5 NPs. They have been on NextGen a little longer than we have, since 2003, but we are both on 8.1. We were very encouraged because (largely thanks to Paula) we are in good shape and have made a lot of strides to improve workflow and become more efficient. We learned from them and taught them some things also. They have had the Patient Portal for 2 years and they providers we talked to unanimously agree it has been a good thing. I am feeling very encouraged about it and think it will improve patient care and make our lives easier in many ways. I just want to thank Paula publicly for ALL of the time she has spent to get us to this point - and I am a lot more excited about NextGen that I have been in the past!
